Double Offset Butterfly Valve

In a double offset design, the stem is offset from the center of the disc and from the centerline of the bore. This creates a cam-like motion that moves the disc away from the seat quickly upon opening, minimizing contact and extending seat life. These valves are suitable for higher pressure, higher temperature, and more demanding service than centric butterfly valves.
